Welcome to my blog. Well not really, but I am the guest blogger for the day. For the record, I am 100% against writing blogs, yet 100% for reading blogs. There is a distinct line between the two. Anyways, my cherry has been popped so here goes.
Who am I? I am a college student. I am a younger brother. I am a collegiate athlete. I have God gifted athletic talent that few people possess. I am, and will be, overshadowed by my brother for my entire life. I was a Heisman trophy candidate. I was a Hokie. I am a future NFL player. I am a future millionaire. I have been given too many chances. I am unworthy of life.
Who am I? I was arrested for allowing underage girls to drink. I was arrested for having sex with a 15 year old. I have been convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I have served a month in jail. I have been charged with reckless driving. I have been charge with possession of marijuana. I have served another month in jail. I have been suspended from my football team three times. I have been suspended from my university once. I have driven with a suspended license. I have cowardly attacked opposing players while they are down. I have been permanently kicked off my college team. And most recently I have pull a gun on teenagers in a parking lot. I will have more encounters like these in the future.
Welcome to the life of the modern day athlete. This is what happens to too many young kids. Too many that think they are invincable. Too many that believe they can get a free pass. This is what happens when you think the name on the back of your jersey is bigger than the one on the front. This is what happens when the name on the back of your jersey takes superstar status by way of a relative. This is what happens to athletes who think their talent makes them better than everyone else. We can only wish the Jigsaw will get a hold of
them.
And who am I? I am Brandon. And this is what happens when I blog.
